Welcome to August

A lot has happened since my last post. Seth is not only walking but attempting to run. He spills out spectacularly, but gets right back up. We had his first birthday party yesterday (even though his official first birthday is Aug 5). Today we had a party for my mom, Jim, and I. All our birthdays are within a couple weeks, so we usually just have one big party for everyone every year.

The boys were watching me mow the lawn...

Aceoft Studios has also made some major Apple purchases. A few weeks ago, I picked up an iPhone 3Gs. I've been supremely impressed by the hardware and software, and it added fuel to the fire within me that wanted to try a Mac after all these years of having only PCs.

After coming with some good business reasons, the company also decided yesterday it was time to take the plunge and buy a MacBook pro.

I picked it up at the Apple Store today, and so far, it's everything I had hoped for. I think the whole experience just fits my personality better than the PC world... as a perfectionist, I appreciate Apple's attention to detail.

I'll write more as I become familar with the ins and outs of the OSX and its related app suite. For now, I'm impressed.

I'm also going to be looking for a way to show my Facebook photos here on this site... I feel like I've been abandoning this site for Facebook for photos and info updates, since I can do it from my iPhone. Boo!
