New Songs

I've started working on two new songs recently. It's been exciting; I've finally found a new sound that I want to pursue for the next project.
Since I've moved, I haven't really had much of a studio. We're living in a condo now instead of a house, so we're short our extra bedroom. Hopefully I'll be finding some ways around these obstacles shortly and I can continue working on the new project.
Aceoft Studios (I) decided it was time to have a laptop to expand horizons on the mobile front, so that will possibly open some doors to new possibilities as well.
Speaking of the laptop, I bought an HP Pavilion dv6000 preloaded with Vista, DVD burner, Intel Core 2, and I am very happy with it so far. Vista has been working like a dream, even with high-end complex software like Adobe After Effects, the entire Creative Suite, and Macromedia (now Adobe) Studio 8. I haven't had any compatibility issues so far.
The only thing that is different is with After Effects. When I launch the program, Vista automatically switches to the Vista Basic (instead of Aero) interface. Apparently After Effects requests some function pointers that flag it as a "non-aero-safe" application. When I close After Effects, Aero switches back on, and it's good to go.
I'd like to go on further about Vista, but that will be in an upcoming article, My Vista Review.
